Devised in the early twentieth century, the White Lady has taken many forms and names. The inventor of the cocktail is also disputed, so it either originates from London’s Ciro Club or New York’s Savoy – either way it’s remained a popular cocktail for the best part of a hundred years.
Other names include Delilah or Chelsea Side-car, it incorporates many elements of a classic Gin Sour but is open to interpretation and experimentation with the ingredients. The cocktail is also said to have been of Laurel and Hardy’s favourite drinks.
