The legendary Martini is one of the most popular cocktails in existence, unsurprisingly for a drink so popular and well founded its exact origins are unclear, but it is first mentioned as far back as the 1860s. There are many different takes on the Martini, the real common ground being that they are all served in the ‘Martini Glass’.
The Dry Martini also has many recipes but is best known for featuring Dry White Vermouth – this substrate remained popular up until the late twentieth century when it came viewed as ‘old-fashioned’… Only to be revived, revamped and popularized again more recently!
